If possible, try another AC power cable on your PLAYSTATION 3.
If you experienced a power surge, shortage, or a lightning storm in your geographical area recently, this may have affected the PLAYSTATION 3 system power supply. Contact Consumer Services.
If the power indicator on the front of the system is flashing red, or alternately flashing red or green, this may indicate the PLAYSTATION 3 system may need a service. Contact Consumer Services.
Make sure the vents are not obstructed in anyway.
Make sure there is adequate ventilation for the PLAYSTATION 3 system. There should be at least four inches of clearance between the air vents on the system and any walls, televisions, entertainment centres, etc. Otherwise the unit may not function properly.
